Bre is one of my most favorite people! She was my first friend in college and I love her to pieces! She was up visiting a couple weeks ago and we did her family session... It was freezing cold but her little girls were troopers! Towards the end of the session it started pouring down snow! It was pretty cute to see Madeline's reaction of the snow fall! She was in heaven seeing it for the first time!

btw, I am super bummed how different quality these are uploading?! not sure what is up?

Seriously my favorite newborn session I have ever done! I always stress when it comes to newborns b/c they are surprisingly difficult little subjects!! This was my first newborn to shoot within their first 11 days. MY NEW RULE... I will no longer shoot newborns after their first 11 days! He was the best newborn I have shot and I loved the results!

and i KNOW you will be dying to know where we got these ADORABLE little owl beanie & baby bear beanie with diaper cover..

I was able to photograph one of my friends Ashley during this very special time! She is due in 4 weeks and we are soo excited for them!! Ashley is a daily reminder to me to not take lightly the gift of motherhood! Not a day goes by we don't think of our good friends and the struggle they continue to face. I hope EVERYONE who has a precious little baby to hold them tight and BE GRATEFUL for what you have! I hope everyone can learn a little something from these incredible two. Life's hard.. but there is a way to overcome trials and these two are learning and showing me how on their journey.

I posted last week their pictures from the Newport Beach Temple... soo here is the rest of their happy wedding day! It was a perfect way to end the day, pictures at the beach! They honestly are the hottest couple, dontcha think?! One lady came up to us shortly after getting their and the lady thought they were models just doing a photo-shoot.. she was shocked that they actually had just gotten married & then another little girl came by to tell Brooke she looked so pretty! The public was loving them and I couldn't complain either.. it made my job extremely easy!

Seriously this was such a fun couple to shoot! They were not only gorgeous and extremely photogentic but they were fun to work with! Here's the images from the first half of the day and seriously there were soooo many good ones from the entire day it was soo hard to choose from! Especially the beach.. it was soo soo perfect!

1. These two lovebirds were married in August and they were both shipped off right before Thanksgiving to serve our country in Iraq. Chelsea is Tysons cousin & we can't wait for their safe returns!

2. I took this in '09.. but I just did a customized edit a couple of weeks ago... This little girl has done more good for the world in 2 years than most of us can do in their entire lifetime! Preslee is a little angel and she is such a reminder to me what is really important in life!

Life in the palm of his hands. This is my husband and baby girl. I love how you can see the size comparisons of his and her hands. She's just so little-bitty and so brand new!

This is probably the only solo boy I have ever photographed! This was an image from his senior session so I loved trying to find the "man'liness" in an image. I am so used to capturing cute little babies or those in love. I always am a little bit out of my element for the first time but I love the challenge!

I have decided not to do the Santa Session.. I never did find a good Santa and some other things that were going to be a bit difficult to accomplish in time! Sorry for the people who were interested I appreciate your support!

However, I just saw that Fat Cats in Rexburg is going to have a Santa!.. I'm not sure about their prices but I'm sure they will make it fun! They are having it every Saturday 12-4 starting this Saturday (every Saturday) until Christmas!

Mini Sessions are for the families out there who just want a quick photo shoot without all the stresses of dealing with the "crankiness" from the kids.. and sometimes husband that comes along with it :). I promise if you don't get any shots that you love I will be more than willing to re-shoot.

Ok so this has been a long process! I have attempted it on 4 different occasions & when I went to upload and didn't like anything that I had just shot - I don't know if I am a bit more pickier since it's my own little girl or if she just wasn't very cooperative along with me being overwhelmed being mom & photographer?! [probably a mix of both] But I finally got quite a few shots I liked so I thought I would finally share, I will most likely keep shooting to get a couple different shots I have been wanting to get but haven't had the time..

If you want to leave me feedback on which are your favorites I would love to hear!

WHY LINDSEY MARLOR PHOTOGRAPHY?
I hand over a dvd of images to you and allow you to print freely without charge. I will also cater the session to what style you are looking for! If you have a vision for your photoshoot, I would love to make it happen!

WHY CAN I ONLY E-MAIL TO BOOK WITH YOU?
This one is very simple!

E-mail is the best way for me to keep a "file" on you & your information! I had one bad scenario about a year ago where a client had contacted me on my cell, I was out and about running errands... I wasn't able to focus on the phone call so when I had got off the phone with her I thought I saved the number in my phone. But when the photoshoot was coming close and I was trying to get a hold of this client I realized it didn't save.. I tried searching through my phone call records and I couldn't find the number for anything! I was hoping so bad that this client would call me but she never did & the morning of the "suppose to be photoshoot" I was all ready to go incase she called but she never called.
SO the moral of the story is.......... e-mail is the BEST way to get ahold of me and I will be able to go over all of the details with you without any distractions. When the shoot comes close to time I will make sure we swap numbers so we will be able to better communicate!

WHY ARE YOUR PRICES HIGH?
You are not just paying for an hour or two of shoot time. I put MANY more hours on custom editing, uploading files, and going through and sorting through your images to pick the best possible images.

Not to mention my photography equipment and cost of props.
These prices include: Time, Talent, DVD of edited images with full copyright.

WHAT EDITING DO YOU DO?
I always give you up to 3 different "looks" to each image on your disc - so what you see on my site is just one of the looks the family will receive. This goes along for every shoot I do.
"looks": ex: original, black and white, urban, vintage, etc. I will choose which looks will look the best with each individual photo.

I cater to your style!

WHERE WILL THEY BE TAKEN?
The only indoor session I will do is brand new & little ones everything else will be taken outside on location in natural light. Location can be your choice or I can scout out somewhere that will work for the look you are going for!

I received my canvas & it took about a week to get.. and it's nice quality.. I would highly recommend if you are checking into canvas - its at a good price!

I found this off of another blog & thought I would share for others to enjoy!
You get a free 8x10 & you only have to pay shipping! I just ordered one 8x10 from there and the charge for shipping was $14.95.. which is such a good deal for canvas.. they also have other good prices for their other sizes so you will have to go and check it out! I will update this when I receive my 8x10 and let you know how it turned out & how long it took to get...

About a month or so ago I received an e-mail from the owner of Mytempleart.com requesting to use some of my images for her site to sell. I thought it was a joke- but turned out to be for real so I jumped on the oppurtunity and was flattered to have been asked.. I just send her my images and she puts different effects & does all the work & shipping.. and I will receive a percentage of the sales. Kinda worked out nice! Hopefully there will be more pictures up as I continue to capture the Rexburg temple in the summer weather to come... These shots were all from Fall 2008 right after I got my Sony Cybershot H50.. so we will have to see what kind of magic I can work with my Nikon and current knowledge!

Where to Print?

Ok so I am not the best at printing all of my pictures.. that would get a little overwhelming & expen$ive! But when I do print I like to print at Walgreen's.. I always upload my pictures on their website and send them straight to the store so there is no waiting involved (the hr for pick up or the line to use the machine & go through your pictures) **It will save time if you just upload them on their website and send them straight to the store!** (many sites have this option) Walgreen's is just convenient for me to run in and out of and I think they print well! If they ever mess up on your prints don't be afraid to ask them to reprint- they are really good about it!
[good for small prints up to 8x10's]

Costco- another good one for prices! (You will have to have a membership or know someone who does) I have personally not seen how their prints come out due to the fact that we don't have a Costco near by.. (wished I lived in a city again for all those conveniences) but they do have good prices & I have sent some of my work for a friend and I'm pretty sure she said they turned out good!..
I would especially recommend them for printing larger size prints... they do large prints in just an hour! (You will have to check the largest print they will go in an hour but I thought it was a pretty decent size- or comment on here if you know) Walgreen's however does not print larger prints in an hour-they will ship them to you and I have done that before and I probably would not recommend it- since they roll it up and send in a hard case.. just my preference to not have the print rolled up..
[I'd definitely recommend their printing for larger prints - just for good prices!]

I do not like printing from home printers- My dad has done it & I just don't think they look all that great & this video below goes into more details about another down fall.

Well I have now GRADUATED!... with a Bachelors in Communications Emphasis in Advertising and clusters in Photography & Family Recreation.

I graduated at 25 1/2 weeks prego!.. and we are due July 21st with a baby girl!
(For all of you followers who don't know us)
Now I will have the time I have been wanting to get all my projects done!
So keep posted for upcoming sessions!
Things hopefully will get more interesting around here!

Customized Temple Pictures

If anyone is interested I can customize temple pictures with that grunge sepia look... or other "specific looks" you like. This is just the first one I tried for my husbands cousin (it was a Valentine's for his wife).. They can also look really pretty on canvas [prices will rise] but I can do it for you cheaper than the bookstores and all of the other places they sell. E-mail me if interested. You can just buy the print & buy your own framing if you would like...
